Richard Niner had a vision of the winery he wished to create. Niner wanted a combination of exceptional personnel, vineyards, tools and ideas that would provide a one-of-the-kind experience in the heart of Paso Robles wine country.   Working on a business deal in the area re-kindled his interest in farming and the wine industry. In 2001 he purchased the Boot Jack Ranch, a 224-acre property, and had 54 acres planted to seven varietals. In accomplishing his goal of the exceptional staff he hired distinguished winegrower Jim Smoot as a consultant, and until he could find a full-time superstar winemaker he signed on legendary winemaker Chuck Ortman.  In 2004 he hired Amanda Cramer as winemaker to fulfill his vision of the perfect team. We are honored to have Cramer as our speaker for this special holiday event. In the 2010 San Francisco International Wine Competition she had two double-gold medals, best Bordeaux blend and the distinction of being named “Winemaker of the Year.”  Chef Nick Gust produced an outstanding menu to accompany these wines.  At about 5:15 p.m. we will put a bottle of sparkling wine on the tables for a toast.  You can either sit at your table or get up and socialize for 15 minutes, and then the speaker will be introduced.

Checks, Members $75 and Guests, $79, payable to Jeanne Bartlett , 1358 Saddleback Trail, Camarillo, 93012 should arrive no later than Wednesday, December 7.  NO refunds after that date unless space can be filled from a waiting list.  Single members may bring one guest at member price.  Call if your check will be late or if you need to cancel, someone may be waiting to take your place.
