Qupé Winery

February 12, 2012

WINO is happy to announce that Bob Lindquist and his son Ethan will be with us to give us an insight into Qupé wines and also tell us about his interests in other wineries – Ethan Wine and Verdad. Ken and I first met Bob in 1976, shortly after WINO had its beginning. At that time he was landed a job as manager of the San Martin Winery Tasting in Camarillo. This friendship continued through Bob’s move to Santa Ynez and eventually to Zaca Mesa Winery as their tour guide and then winemaker. I’m sure he will fill us in on how that led to his eventual stop as owner and winemaker of the prestigious Qupé Winery.  Bob is dedicated to producing handcrfted Rhone varietals and Chardonnay from California’s Central Coast. We are delighted to be back at Spanish Hills to enjoy the superb cuisine of Executive Chef Karl Holst, a master of pairing wine and food.
