Cantara Cellars
Sunday, January 9, 2011, 5:30 p.m.
Cantara Cellars is one of the growing number of boutique wineries finding success in Ventura County. The winemaking duo of Mike and Chris Brown start the winemaking process in Lodi, where vineyards have been producing great wine since the late 19th Century. Winemaker Mike Brown, sources a variety of grapes from vineyards around the Lodi AVA. Picked in the cool early morning hours, the grapes are moved to the winery located in Camarillo, where the wine making process begins.
Cantara is proud to be presenting their wines to WINO members and honored to be paring them with a menu specially selected by Café Zack, in Ventura. The winemakers hope the menu will dazzle your palate. A special thanks to Hector Gomez and Alfonso Bello, the owners of Café Zack, and the Browns for hosting the Wino dinner this January.
