Buttonwood Farm Winery
Sunday, November 14, 2010, 5:30 p.m.
Buttonwood is a small gem of a winery set in the midst of the Santa Ynez Valley. Planting on the 39-acre vineyard began in 1983 and the winery itself was completed in time for the crush of 1989. Their wines reflect a preference to Bordeaux and Rhone-style wines. An interesting fact is that the vineyard is one part of a well-cared for farm and not a mono-cultured crop. Winemaker Karen Steinwachs will be with us to give us the inside story of winemaking at Buttonwood. Executive Chef James Smith has created a menu to showcase these vintages.
