Bridlewood Estate Winery
Sunday, March 21, 2010, 5:30 p.m.

Bridlewood Winery is located on the eastern edge of the Santa Ynez Valley.  To reach Bridlewood you follow a lane, shaded on both sides by trees.  Next you glimpse the handsome mission-style winery.  This structure is located on a 105-acre estate, set on a high bench of ancient seabed, providing hillside vineyards and breathtaking views of the surrounding region. The winery contains a trademark tower, reminiscent of the nearby Santa Ynez Mission and is flanked by adobe tile-roofed buildings.  This picturesque setting also has the advantage of warm days and cool nights, yielding grapes with notable depth and character.  David Hopkins, winemaker, will be with us to give us insight into the vintages we will taste.  His philosophy is to follow the flavor from vineyard to vineyard to craft distinctive wines both drinkable and flavorful.  Executive Chef Robin Nishizaki has created a menu perfectly paired with these outstanding wines
